Berkshire Hathaway’s Christye Ozog Steps Out to Support LGBT Community

She hasn’t been selling homes in the St. Petersburg region as long as area veterans, but Berkshire Hathaway realtor Christye Ozog is making an impact, especially within her LGBT community.

Ozog recently sponsored and supported the SWIM White Party fundraiser, which raised funds for Girls Rock St. Pete, a “volunteer-based summer day-camp that uses music as a medium to help young women find self-confidence, creativity, strength, and sense of community.” Her donation and event promotion helped the new 501(c)3 non-profit organization, SWIM, bring together nearly 280 LGBT and allied women from around the region.

Last week, in between showers and thunderstorms, Ozog’s Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Florida Properties office in St. Pete Beach hosted a Pre-Pride Party Booth at Pride Fest. They invited LGBTQ+ community members from around the area to kick off Pride month with sangria, snacks, and conversation. Attendees waved flags along Gulf Blvd as passersby honked in support.

Ozog and friend, Shannon Morris, recently started up the Saint Petersburg LGBT and Allied Facebook group page to support LGBT members, allies and their community. The group encourages members to share events, topics of conversation, and professional posts in an effort to support LGBTQ members in both their personal and professional lives. 

This coming weekend, Ozog’s team will also host a booth during the St. Pete Pride festival, a first for the local realty office.
