No Easter celebration is complete without an egg hunt! Luckily, there are plenty of egg hunts happening throughout Florida. Many local parks, community centers, and churches host egg hunts on Easter weekend. 

Ashley’s Eggsploration

Are you ready for an egg-citing time? The largest egg hunt in Downtown Tampa, Ashley’s Eggsploration, will begin at 9am sharp, with thousands and thousands of eggs waiting to be found! A specific combination of eggs will be given to each age group to find and redeem for prizes. You are encouraged to bring your own basket or take advantage of our bag decorating station (while supplies last). This year, a select number of golden eggs hidden by Ashley lead to grand prizes. Don’t miss out on the chance to visit the Easter Bunny, enjoy delicious food from a food truck, and have a day of fun for all ages at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park!

Easter Egg Hunt & Bunny Drop

Beach behind Flora-Bama Lounge, 17401 Perdido Key Dr., Pensacola

Get ready for a fun-filled Easter at the beach at Flora-Bama’s Easter Egg Hunt and Bunny Drop! Starting at 12pm, kids can enjoy crafts and face painting in the tent. Then, at 1pm, it’s time for the exciting Easter Egg Hunt on the sandy beach behind the Flora-Bama. But that’s not all – the Easter Bunny himself will skydive onto the beach shortly after the egg hunt begins! Kids will have the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny and take pictures with him inside the tent. Remember to bring your own basket and camera for this event. To make things easier for the little ones, the beach will be divided into separate egg hunt areas for different age groups: 0-3 years, 4-6 years, 7-9 years, and 10-12 years. With plenty of fun activities for everyone, this Easter celebration at the beach is not to be missed!

Easter Egg Hunt & Sail on the “Privateer” Catamaran

Celebrate Easter in style with our 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Sail on the “Privateer” Catamaran. Departing from behind Bluegreen Bayside Resort and Spa at 11:00 am, we will sail over to Shell Island where we will have an Easter Egg Hunt with over 1000 eggs. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the Easter Bunny who will be making a special appearance.

Egg Ocoee

The Egg Ocoee event is an Easter Extravaganza that kids aged 1-11 won’t want to miss! With over 16,000 eggs being dropped from a helicopter, as well as bounce houses, pony rides, cotton candy, and even a chance to take pictures with the Easter Bunny, there’s something for everyone. To ensure you don’t miss out, be sure to pre-register for one of the three Egg Drop Times: 9:40, 10:40, or 11:40. Plan to arrive 45 minutes before your desired time to allow for parking and registration. Plus, the first 500 people to arrive will receive a free lunch!

Adult Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Family Picnic

Join Miami Beach Pride and Maersk for a FREE Easter Family Picnic filled with fun activities for the whole family! Meet the Easter Bunny, enjoy bounce houses, outdoor games, food, drinks, and participate in an Easter egg hunt at Pride Park. Kids can enjoy a 71ft inflatable bouncy obstacle course, an inflatable bouncy castle with a slide, face painting, and photo ops for the family. There will also be food trucks and other activities. A postcard storyboard for kids under 10 years of age and flipbook animations for teens and adults 11+. Both craft workshops will be led by visual artist Dinorah de Jesús Rodríguez. This event is free for everyone, but please RSVP.

St. Pete Spring Fest & Easter Egg Hunt

Celebrate the arrival of spring and Easter at the St. Pete Spring Fest & Easter Egg Hunt, located on the beautiful St. Pete Pier. This free, family-friendly festival features a variety of entertainment, activities, food vendors, games, rides, and a massive Easter egg hunt with over 20,000 eggs. Enjoy live music on the main stage, kids’ activities, delicious food, drinks, and plenty of photo opportunities. Spring Fling Eggstravaganza

This package includes a table and a brunch box filled with delicious pastries, fresh fruit, and more.

Hialeah’s Easter Eggstravaganza

The City of Hialeah’s Easter Eggstravaganza is back and it’s going to be egg-tastic! This free event is jam-packed with exciting activities that are sure to make your Easter weekend unforgettable. This event is known as the largest egg hunt in all of South Florida, with over 50,000 eggs hidden and ready to be discovered. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be live entertainment, photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, and a Kids Zone with rides and interactive inflatables. If all that fun makes you hungry, don’t worry, food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Easter Car & Truck Show

Easter Parades

Easter parades are a beloved tradition in many communities, and Florida is no exception. These parades are a great way to experience the local culture and celebrate Easter with the community.

St. Augustine Easter Parade

Old Jail Museum, 167 San Marco Ave, St. Augustine, FL 32084

For 67 years, St. Augustine has been home to the nation’s second oldest Easter Parade, the Parada de los Caballos y Coches. Since 1956, the parade has celebrated the Easter holiday with marching bands, floats, and drill teams, as well as clowns, the Royal Family, Imperial Storm Troopers, the Easter Bunny, and the city’s carriage horses wearing their Easter hats. Spectators line the streets to watch the festivities and trophies are presented to winners in four categories. In 2023, the parade will take place on the Saturday of Easter weekend, starting at 9 a.m. from the Old Jail Museum and traveling south on San Marco Avenue and along the bayfront on Avenida Menendez, before finishing at the Plaza de la Constitución.

Newtown Spring Fling Festival & Parade

The Newtown Spring Fling Festival & Parade is a beloved tradition in Newtown, now brought back to life with the support of the City of Sarasota. The festival will feature a variety of vendors, food trucks, and live music, all located near the newly relocated Leonard Reid House at 2529 N. Orange Avenue. The highlight of the event will be a parade showcasing local organizations and community groups, starting at 2 pm on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Come join in the fun and celebrate the spirit of Newtown!

Sunrise Services

For many Christians, attending a sunrise service on Easter Sunday is a deeply meaningful way to celebrate the holiday. Many churches throughout Florida host sunrise services on the beach or in other outdoor locations. 

Easter SUNRISE Celebration Service at Gulfport Beach

Easter Sunrise Service on the Beach

The 33rd Annual Easter Sunrise Service on the Beach is a free 1-hour event held at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort. It is open to everyone and has grown from a small gathering to the largest event on the island! Join the diverse community-based gathering, with music led by Keith and Kristyn Getty, known for their inspirational songs performed by renowned artists. Matt Papa, world-renowned hymn writer and musician, will also join the Gettys onstage alongside four other musicians. The service will feature scripture readings, prayer, and an Easter message is given by local pastors. During the opening welcome, Alan Sandlin will be honored for his years of volunteer work for the Easter Sunrise Service. Beach access is located north of the Marriott Spa and the public access path north of the Madeira Condominium.

Easter Sunrise Service at St. John on the Lake

Easter Sunrise Service at Bok Tower Gardens

Bok Tower Gardens will host its annual Easter Sunrise Service, starting at 6:30 a.m. with a performance by Gardens’ Carillonneur Geert D’hollander on the 60-bell Singing Tower carillon. Bagpiper Ben Pugh will lead the processional, and Father Tim Nunez of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd will deliver the Easter message. The service will end with a half-hour concert by D’hollander on the carillon.
