Fort Lauderdale Pride 

Pride Fort Lauderdale is the oldest LGBTQ+ non-profit in the state of Florida. After producing Pride of the Americas earlier in 2023, it decided to embark on a journey of revitalization and expansion. As a result, Pride Fort Lauderdale made the decision to adjust its plans for the 2024 edition. The annual festival and parade scheduled for February, are temporarily postponed. 

Their new schedule of pride events include the Wet Pool Party, a day of unity and love poolside, featuring a live DJ and entertainment, and two days of Pride on the Drive, where Wilton Drive comes alive with rainbow flags, glitter, and lots of activities.

OUTshine Film Festival 

A celebration of film that is a must-experience for movie buffs, this ten-night, October event lights up Fort Lauderdale with a selection of LGBTQ+ films that showcase different stories. The festival takes place at local theaters, with movies that entertain, educate, and inspire, in the forms of short films, documentaries, and feature-length productions. Pride Fantasia

Bringing together the LGBTQ+ community and local artists in a fusion of creativity and self-expression, Pride Fantasia takes place in June at The Manor in Fort Lauderdale. Pride Fantasia is an eclectic mix of artistic performances celebrating LGBTQ+ culture, from dance routines to theater acts and everything in between. FlockFest is a non-profit fundraising foundation focusing on strategic partnerships with other non-profit organizations to drive transformative change. FlockFest Beach Party –  A day of fun and sun on Fort Lauderdale beach in July, FlockFest is a beach party that brings people together for a common cause.The event features great music, dancing, and food trucks. Stonewall Pride

Stonewall Pride is dedicated to fostering LGBTQ+ pride and unity within the community of Wilton Manors. Through their initiatives and events, like the Stonewall Pride Parade and Street Festival, they work to promote acceptance and support for LGBTQ+ community.

FLoatarama – The official kick-off event of Wilton Manors’ Stonewall Pride in June, FLoatarama is a different kind of pride parade. Typically starting in downtown Fort Lauderdale on New River and ending in Sunrise Bay, this boat parade is where creativity takes center stage. More than 40 boats of all sizes are decked out in their “rainbow best,” with suntanned sailor boys at their helms. You can purchase a ticket for the viewing party and watch it all from the banks of New River.

Stonewall Pride Parade & Street Festival –  Paying tribute to the historic Stonewall Riots of 1969 in New Yorks’ Greenwich Village, the parade is a rainbow procession of floats, marching bands, and marchers, winding its way through the streets of Wilton Manors. Following the parade, the Stonewall Pride Street Festival ramps up with food vendors, art displays, music, and live performances. Local businesses join in, setting up booths to support the LGBTQ+ community. It’s a day filled with celebration, connection, and pure fun for all ages. 

My Hollywood Pride 

Born out of advocacy, and led by the Hollywood LGBTQ+ Council, My Hollywood Pride emerged to amplify the voices and presence of LGBTQ+ residents within the Greater Hollywood community. Known throughout Florida for holding “the first Pride of the year,” Hollywood celebrates Pride with a weekend full of events in late January. While the venues may change, the following are mainstays of the weekend. 

Circle of Pride Networking Event – Kicking off the weekend with a networking social, this event gives local businesses a platform to show their solidarity for the LGBTQ+ community. Enjoy complimentary appetizers and exclusive drink specials as you socialize and connect with community members, local business owners, and influential leaders.

Pride Cinema – Call your friends, embrace diversity, and have a great time watching films that celebrate love, diversity, and the joy of being who you are. Cinema Paradiso rolls out the rainbow carpet, with a glittery collection of LGBTQ+ films. So, get some popcorn, connect with the community, and enjoy some of the best queer films the world has to offer.

My Hollywood Pride Street Festival – The signature event of pride weekend, the My Hollywood Pride Street Festival kicks off in downtown Hollywood. With live performances, vendors, DJs, dancing, educational presentations, along with arts and crafts, this open-to-all, family-friendly event is the ultimate LGBTQ+ block party.

My Hollywood Pride Tea Dance –  The fun continues after the festival at the My Hollywood Pride Tea Dance, where world-renowned DJs spin the best dance music, and drag performers strut their stuff. Drink Specials and surprise live performances are on tap for this weekend-closing classic tea dance party.
