Surprisingly, yes pumpkin patches do exist in Florida. You will find an abundance of fall festivities, including pumpkin patches that welcome the season with open arms. The Sunshine State may not be known for its colorful fall foliage, but it certainly knows how to embrace the spirit of autumn.

When to Visit Pumpkin Patches In Florida

Florida’s pumpkin farms typically open their doors in mid to late September and remain operational until early November. This window provides ample time for families and enthusiasts to enjoy the autumnal ambiance and pick the perfect pumpkins for their Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations.

Pumpkin Patches Do Exist In Florida

Pumpkin farms in Florida are not just about pumpkins; they offer a wide array of activities that cater to visitors of all ages. Enjoy the vibrant fall colors as you stroll through rows of pumpkins, corn mazes, hay bales, scarecrows, and gourds. 

Here’s a glimpse of the fun you can expect to find at these farms:

Mr. Jack O’Lantern’s Pumpkin Patch in West Palm Beach offers unique pumpkin varieties and a range of activities for all ages, including obstacle course, pumpkin decorating, pumpkin bowling, and farm animal encounters. They are open from October 1 to October 31. You also have the option of purchasing pumpkins online. 

The Little Farm in Miami provides a hands-on farm experience for the whole family. Fall festivities include pumpkin picking, pony rides, hay mazes, and more. Engage with a diverse selection of farm animals year round, including goats, sheep, pigs, cows, horses, rabbits, ducks, and more. Tickets are required to enter. They are open throughout the year on select weekends. Check their website for their holiday events. 

Hunsader Farms in Bradenton offers an annual Fall Festival with over 20 different events and activities. Enjoy hayrides, a petting zoo, food, live music shows, zip lines, pony rides, chainsaw sculpting, a scarecrow display, and more. For an additional fee, you can choose your own pumpkins from one of the largest pumpkin farms in Florida. They are open September through early June. Autumn festivities are on select weekends in October.

Sweetfields Farm in Brooksville is a hidden gem that comes to life during the fall season. This family-friendly farm offers a corn maze, hayrides, a playground, and, of course, a pumpkin patch where you can pick your own pumpkins. Their autumn events begin the second to last weekend of September until the first weekend of November. 

Harvest Holler Corn Maze in Polk City promises a slower-paced farm life experience. Activities include a corn maze, hayrides, hay mountain climbing, cow barrel train rides, “Big Frank-n-Slide,” and more. Don’t forget to stop in to Maw-Maw’s Country Store and Paw Paw’s Vittles for great gifts and eats. The farm is open from the second weekend of September to the second weekend of November.

Sykes Family Farms in Elkton offer a 9-acre maze, a petting zoo, a play area, cow trains, hayrides, corn poppers, and more. Fall festivities are from the first weekend of October to the last weekend of October.

Holland Farms is a family owned peanut and produce farm. They offer a pumpkin patch during the fall season, along with corn maze, train rides, zip lines, huge slides, sunflower fields, and more. For fall festivities they are open from the last weekend of September to the first weekend of November. 

Santa’s Christmas Tree Forest in Eustis offers freshly picked pumpkins displayed in a shaded lot, making it a unique pumpkin-picking experience. Enjoy various events throughout the month. Activities include horse and pony rides, duck races, doggy dress-up days, mazes, and more. They are open from the last weekend of September through the end of October. 

Sweet Season Farms in Milton hosts a pumpkin festival with a community empowerment initiative. Activities include corn mazes, hayrides, corn silos, games, pumpkin patch, and more. Tickets are required. They are open from the last weekend of September to the first weekend of November on the weekends.

Coon Hollo Farm, a fifth-generation family farm in Micanopy, offers a pre-picked pumpkin patch and a Fall Festival with various activities, including pig races, corn mazes, archery and more. Opens on weekends from the first weekend of October through the first weekend of November.

Dave’s Pumpkin Patch located in Brandon is a local favorite for pumpkins. Capture memories with your family and friends and find the perfect pumpkin for carving, cooking, or decorating. They are open on weekends in October for fall festivities.

Pumpkin Patches Do Exist In Florida

Florida may not be the first place that comes to mind when thinking of fall, but its pumpkin farms offer a delightful way to celebrate the season. These farms provide a wide range of activities and, of course, the chance to pick the perfect pumpkin. So, whether you’re a resident or a visitor, don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy the autumn spirit at one of Florida’s charming pumpkin patches.
