For easy navigation, we’ve broken the information down by regions within the state, and provided a synopsis of each campground that highlights RV Park options.

Note: We have highlighted the Florida Campgrounds and RV Parks that are LGBTQ-only or gay-only. The rest on our list welcome all who park there. Oh – and when we say “full or half hookups,” we’re not referring to cruising. So let’s keep things on cruise control instead.

Florida Panhandle Campgrounds with RV Parks

Blackwater River State Park

Blackwater River is the last pristine sand river in the United States and has been designated a State Forest. This park provides an excellent place to get back to nature with its beautiful, forested nature trails through the park. Or stroll down from the campgrounds right to the water for swimming, canoeing and kayaking.

There are 30 spacious gravel sites with full hookups that can accommodate all types of camping, from tents to 35’ RVs. The Blackwater River State Park campground was ranked as one of the top 30 campgrounds in the U.S. by RVing Women.

Want to spend a day drifting down the river in a tube or exploring in a canoe or kayak? Or would you prefer to spend time sunbathing on one of the 30 beautiful sand beaches along the river? Blackwater Canoe Rental will provide all equipment needed for local water sports and will transport you back and forth to the campgrounds.

Falling Waters State Park/Pine Ridge Campground

Pine Ridge Campground in Falling Waters State Park offers a unique experience. At 324 feet above sea level, it’s the Sunshine State’s highest elevation and is also home to Florida’s longest waterfall. It has 24 sites nestled among longleaf pine and dogwood trees, each with water, 20/30/50 amp electric service, and a fire ring. There’s a full-facility bathhouse and a dump station for your convenience. Your pet pals are even welcome at your site. There’s also a two-acre freshwater lake for swimming.

Henderson Beach State Park

Henderson Beach State Park is a laid-back Destin option for the whole family – even your pets are welcome!

The park offers 60 campsites for tents or RVs (60′ limit). All sites have water, 30/50 amp electricity, picnic tables, grills, and clothesline posts.

Guests will appreciate the heated and air-conditioned restrooms and showers. The park’s family-oriented beach stretches for more than a mile along the Gulf. The park has a lot to do. Try your luck at geocaching. Hit the hiking or nature trails. Fishing is allowed (you’ll need your gear and a license).

Sapphire Island RV Resort and Campground

Sapphire Island RV Resort and Campground is a great place to enjoy the beaches all day and the natural coastal forest all night. It’s conveniently located just off I-10 and situated between the South Walton Beaches and the Historic DeFuniak Springs. Nearby you can enjoy the Ponce de Leon Springs, Scenic Highway 30A, and other historic sites. 

Amenities include free high speed WIFI, long pull-through sites with 20/30/50 amp, outdoor fire pits, picnic tables, showers, group pavilion, playground, and much more.

Eagle’s Landing RV Park

This is a highly-rated quiet, friendly, family-owned and operated RV park that’s easy to get to from I-10 or Hwy 90. All of the sites at Eagle’s Landing are 100’ long and 35’ wide pull-throughs with full hookups. Amenities include high-speed WiFi available at each site, picnic tables, clean restrooms and showers, laundry facilities and a clubhouse.

There are grocery stores, restaurants, gas and post office nearby, or enjoy visiting the local flea markets, Gulf beaches, the National Museum of Naval Aviation at Pensacola NAS or the Air Force Armament Museum and Eglin AFB.

Destin West RV Resort

Destin West RV Resort is the ultimate Florida campground. It’s located directly on the Choctawhatchee Bay and just across the street from the beautiful beaches of the Gulf, on a small strip of land called Okaloosa Island.

The resort features many amenities, including easy access to the water for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing or just relaxing. In addition, there’s a laundry, 24-hr bathhouse, camp store, a community bonfire with smores every Tuesday and Thursday evening, and full access to all of the amenities of the resort next door, The Island, By Hotel RL.

Enjoy many nearby activities, too, such as Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park, Wild Willy’s Adventure Zone, and Escape Zone 60, all within walking distance of the park.

Central Florida Campgrounds with RV Parks

Sawmill Camping Resort – LGBTQ

The Sawmill is the premier gay and lesbian camping location in the state. It’s a 21+, private, membership-only club and you must be a member to visit or stay at Sawmill. A standard membership at this gay-only Florida campground is only $35 for 12 full months and you pay separately for the accommodations when you visit.

There are 32 cabins (Standard or Premium), 68 RV sites (full hook-ups, 30/50 amp), 49 tenting pads and 122 resident sites spread out over 120 acres. Amenities include a heated outdoor, (clothing-optional) pool, four bars, delicious food, various themed events and daily activities, walking trails around Ricki Lake, and lots of action nearby, including zip lines and antique shopping.

As for the accommodations, standard cabins come with one or two beds, a refrigerator, all linens, and A/C; guests will use a shared communal bathroom. Premium Cabins have all the comforts of home: either 1 or 2 beds, all linens, kitchenettes, TV’s (for DVD use only), A/C and Private Bathrooms.

Camp David – Gay Men

Camp David is located in the middle of a heavily wooded area with three small lakes. The entire 16-acre campground is clothing optional, providing a natural environment for men. There’s a monitored entrance gate for added security at this gay-centric Florida campground. Most of the RV sites have full hookups with 30/50 amp electric; some sites are water and electric only with 20 amp. There are also primitive tenting sites available. All sites have high-speed WiFi; some have cable TV available. There’s a clubhouse with a TV lounge, a video room, shuffleboard, a clean bath house, pool, hot tub, and nature trails for hiking.

Orlando/Kissimmee KOA, Kissimmee

The beautiful Orlando/Kissimmee KOA is the place to go after a long day at the parks. It’s everything you’ve come to expect in a KOA! Their RV sites have full hookups with 50/30/20 amp service, and a choice of back-in, pull-though, or deluxe patio sites.  Some can accommodate rigs and tow vehicles combined up to 130+ feet.

There are a variety of cabins here, too: from basic ones with no inside restroom facilities, to deluxe cabins that can sleep up to eight, have 1.5 baths and a partial kitchen. Amenities include: a pool, hot tub, or sauna; rental bikes are available; and your pet pals can enjoy the Kamp K9 dog park and the dog wash area.

Camping at Disney

Enjoy the magic of the great outdoors, Disney style, at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Enjoy the beauty of nature as you walk along the woodland trails to discover deer, rabbits and other wildlife roaming around the 750 acres of pine and cypress forest.

RV sites have full hook-ups, 30/50 amp, concrete pads, picnic tables and charcoal grills, and room for rigs up to 60′ long. Tent sites have a level pad, water and electric, picnic tables and charcoal grills.

There are too many amenities to list here, but we know you’ll enjoy the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool, with its waterslide, a splash park for the kids and a hot tub for the adults; or try the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool, an all-ages leisure pool with hot tub. Other activities include the archery range; the Tri-Circle-D Ranch with its wagon, carriage and pony rides; fishing; boat and canoe rentals; playgrounds and arcades. As with all Official Walt Disney World properties, it includes transportation from the campgrounds directly to each of the parks.

If you prefer to “rough it” in comfort, there are private cabins available for rent, too. The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness share the same setting and many of the amenities, but with all the conveniences of home. Each cabin is fully furnished and sleeps 6 adults. They offer a living room, bedroom, full bath, private patio, charcoal grill, and modern kitchen. It’s glamping at its finest!

Northeast Florida Campgrounds with RV Parks

North Beach Camp Resort

North Beach Camp Resort is situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the saltwater North/Tolomato River and a barrier island just five miles north of St. Augustine, so you can enjoy watching the sun rise over the ocean and set into the river. It’s a heavily wooded campground filled with beautiful oak and palmetto trees.

This full-service gay-friendly campground offers many amenities, including 30/50 amp, pull-thru sites, fire rings, cable TV, laundry, WiFi, playground, recreation hall and more. All RV sites have full hookups and there are two restaurants – one, Aunt-Kate’s Restaurant, is within the campgrounds; the Reef Restaurant is right next door.

Want to camp closer to the beach? Then this is the place for you! Flagler by the Sea Campgrounds is located right on the Atlantic Ocean, next to A1A, and has 31 beachfront sites, each with full hookups and free WiFi. This quaint location doesn’t have a lot of luxury amenities, but then, what else do you need when you throw a ball into the water from your front step? And it’s part of the beautiful town of Flagler Beach, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants and activities.

Beverly Beach Camptown RV Resort

This beachfront campground is situated almost exactly halfway between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, a perfect location! Every campsite is either oceanside or across the street from the water; many with their own patios. All sites have full hookups with 50 amp electric; the campground has three full-service bath houses and two laundry rooms with TVs. Enjoy a stroll along the shore via four beach walkways from the campground directly to the sand. For those without an RV, there are also seven cabins available for rent (but they do not allow pets).

Ocean Grove RV Resort

If you prefer to stay a little further back from the ocean, you’ll enjoy Ocean Grove RV Resort, just seven miles from historic St. Augustine. This destination camping resort has been around for over 40 years and is currently being run by its third generation of family. It’s a full-service campground with 30/50 amp full-service sites, including shaded, pull-thru, patio and other sites. Other amenities include free WiFi, playground, heated jacuzzi and kid’s pool, propane, saltwater fishing from a private pier, direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway, cable TV, and much more!

Space Coast Campgrounds with RV Parks

Long Point Park Campground

This public campground is part of an 84+ acre conservation area located on an island in the Indian River Lagoon, a retreat for fishermen and nature enthusiasts and a great place to spot wildlife. In addition to the usual amenities (bathhouse, laundry, playground, picnic pavilions, free WiFi, etc.), it also has a 1-lane boat ramp and fish cleaning station. There are 15 full hookup campsites and 155 partial hookups (no sewer).

Wickham Park Campground

Wickham Park covers almost 400 acres of pine woods, lakes and open recreation areas. It has over seven miles of trails that are perfect for hiking or mountain biking, along with a 1.3 mile paved trail perfect for jogging and cycling throughout the park. Although it’s a park, it’s also in the center of Melbourne, making it close to the Atlantic beaches, as well as many restaurants, historic sites, golf and nature preserves. The campsites are set in a heavily wooded area in a secluded area at the center of the park.

There are lots of outdoor activities, including two swimming lakes (unguarded), fishing lakes, disc golf, an archery range, horseshoe pits and volleyball courts, as well as a dog park and playground. There are 133 campsites with full hookups and a youth campground for organized groups, full shower and laundry facilities and a dump station. The park is also part of the Great Florida Birding Trail, so keep your eyes open for osprey, owls, bald eagles, migratory songbirds and more.

Manatee Hammock Campground

This shady, quiet campground in Manatee Hammock Park is a nature-lover’s paradise of pine trees, palms and other flora that creates a habitat for pelicans, osprey, squirrels and dolphins. In addition, it’s close to amusement parks and other attractions and has a perfect view of space launches from the Kennedy Space Center! There are 20 campsites with water and electric, 166 RV sites with full hookups, a group tent camping area, bathhouse with hot showers and laundry facilities, and its own fishing pier.

Space Coast RV Resort

Space Coast RV Resort, part of Encore RV Resorts and Thousand Trails, is a premium, full-service campground in a great location to explore the world-famous Space Coast region of Florida. This large resort is known for its 270 spacious campsites, all with full hookups and 30/50 amp service. There’s also WiFi, laundry facilities, a camp store, dog park, outdoor pool, bath houses and more. There are plenty of restaurants and activities nearby, including, of course, the Kennedy Space Center and fresh and/or saltwater fishing.

Jetty Park Campground

Jetty Park Campground is the only camping facility within the beautiful Port Canaveral. It’s unique location not only allows visitors a chance to spot wildlife and marine life, but also “non-wild” life, such as submarines and cruise ships arriving and departing, and rocket launches from nearby Cape Canaveral. The park has several different camping choices, from “roughing it” in a tent to “glamping” in your RV in a full hook-up site. There are sites available with or without slabs, with 20, 30 or 50 amp service.

Florida Keys Campgrounds with RV Parks

There are numerous campgrounds of all kinds scattered throughout the Florida Keys, from tents sites to resort glamping! In fact, there are so many 4- and 5-star places to camp that we can’t even cover them all. Here are some we think you’ll enjoy, listed geographically from North to South.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Key Largo

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is the first undersea park in the U.S., covering 70 nautical square miles. Visitors can see the colorful coral reefs by taking a ride on a glass-bottomed boat, canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving or snorkeling. Fishing is allowed in designated areas. Enjoy some down time by taking a stroll along the trails that wind through the tropical hammocks, enjoy a picnic or go swimming on the beach. There’s also a great visitor center where you can enjoy nature videos or explore some of the local marine life in their large saltwater aquariums.

As for the camping, there are full hookups with 20/30/50 amps, picnic tables, and room for large rigs up to 55’ in length. There are group sites available, laundry and bath houses with showers, a boat ramp and easy access to the water. Senior discounts are available.

The Jolly Roger RV Park is a quiet, family-owned and operated campground that covers 11 acres and has more than 160 large, shady and grassy sites with full hookups and 20/30/5050 amp electric. Activities include boating, diving, fishing, sailing and snorkeling right off the dock. The premier sites are located right along the park’s seawall. The park also offers HD Cable TV and Internet access throughout the park, a heated swimming pool, a “Bark Park” for your furry friends, a free boat ramp, rental spaces along the dock, bath houses, laundry, and a pavilion available for groups.

Curry Hammock State Park, Marathon

This 1,000-acre park is located on Marathon Key, halfway between Key Largo and Big Pine Key. It’s the largest uninhabited piece of land in the area and is home to a mangrove swamp, seagrass beds and rocky hammocks, all vital to the Florida Keys ecosystem. There are 28 campsites, all with views of the Atlantic Ocean and all equipped with a picnic table, charcoal grill, water and 20/30/50 amp service. Sites can accommodate RVs up to 70’ long. A dump station is available. Pets are welcomed, but must be confined, leashed or under physical control at all times.

Bahia Honda State Park, Big Pine Key

Bahia Honda State Park is known for its mild sea breezes that blow across the shores year-round. It’s a haven for bird watchers and naturalists, filled with many varieties of wading birds and shorebirds, along with hundreds of species of plants and wildlife. It has kayaks and snorkeling gear available for rent and offers boat trips and snorkeling excursions to the reef, and there are a number of beautiful nature trails to explore.

There are three campgrounds available within the park; however, Buttonwood is the only one designed for RVs. The sites are gravel with electricity, water, a picnic table and charcoal grill. There is a bathroom with hot showers and a dump station available. There are 14 waterfront sites, but those on the water have very little shade.

Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge, Big Pine Key

Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge is a 10-acre park positioned at Mile Marker 33 right between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean and is part of Cove Communities. It offers 97 full hookup sites located either on or off the canal, with 30 or 50 amp service and a 110-volt outlet that can be used for either RV or tent camping. There are also 19 canal-side sites with boat slips and full hookups that are available at no extra charge. Other amenities include a game room, playground, recreation trail, outdoor pool, water access, fishing and a marina with boat rentals.

This intimate little park will remind you of what the Keys were like when you were growing up! It’s an old-fashioned fishing camp with modern facilities, full hookups with 20/30 amp, waterfront and non-waterfront sites, and is just 10 miles away from the town of Key West. It has boat slips, laundry, showers, and offers all kinds of marine activities, from deep water fishing charters to kayaks or paddle boards for shallow water. And there’s no need to cook while you’re here because their restaurant is a local favorite with fabulous seafood and other dishes.

El Mar RV Resort is a small, but highly-rated park, situated 1.5 miles off US 1 at Mile Marker 5. It’s perfect for RVers who are looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the water from the comfort of their own rig. The 11 beautiful and private RV sites are all graveled, 45’ x 85’, with full hookups (30/50 amps), patios, cable TV and WiFi. There is limited dockage available for an additional fee.

South Florida Campgrounds with RV Parks

Vitambi Springs Resort and Camp (Gay Men)

Vitambi Springs Resort and Camp is a large resort but, at this time, has only five RV campsites (30 amp, water, sewer). There are plans to create more in the future. However, they have a large selection of housing, ranging from rustic cabins to deluxe accommodations to private homes. Amenities include a clothing optional heated pool, full-service bar and restaurant, camp store, dog park, gym, bathhouse and more. Pets are welcome in certain areas; check with the staff for specifics when making a reservation. Most of the grounds are clothing optional, but clothing is required in all public buildings and designated areas.

Paradise Island RV Resort

Paradise Island RV Resort is an oasis in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, close to the Atlantic beaches, golf, casinos and lots of other activities. Floridays is perfect for people who love the RV lifestyle, whether you’re a snowbird, a full-timer or just enjoying a relaxing vacation! This 84-site community is located right on US 1, along the “Treasure Coast” and just north of the beautiful Palm Beaches. But it’s also close to many natural attractions: Jonathan Dickinson State Park; fishing, boating and kayaking on the Loxahatchee River; wooded hiking trails; and, of course, the giant Loggerhead turtles nesting areas on the beach. Many of the campsites at Yacht Haven Park & Marina are right on the water, situated along the New River and surrounded by deep water canals and some of the best docks in all of Florida. All 250 campsites are paved and have full hookups and patios, along with 30/50 amp electric. There’s also a dump station, laundry facilities, restrooms with showers, and limited WiFi Hot Spots. It’s the best of Florida – beautiful water amidst 20 acres of tropical greenery.

Miami Everglades RV Resort is part of Encore and Thousand Trails. It covers 34 acres of tropical bliss, loaded with palms, avocado and mango trees. It’s located close to Everglades National Park and is just a short drive to Key Largo, Miami Beach and the South Beach Art Deco District. It’s a large park with over 300 spaces, including full hookup RV sites (30/50 amp), group sites with water and electric, and tent sites with either water/electric or just water. Bonita Terra

For nearly 40 years, Bonita Terra RV and Mobile Home Park has offered spacious sites in a pleasant, family owned and operated facility. Blueway RV Village is a safe, quiet location for the whole family, including pets, located in a lovely setting filled with palm, oak and cypress trees. You might even have a little visit from the ducks, raccoons, armadillos and other local wildlife. There are 375 full hookup pull-thru  sites (30/50 amp) covering 30 acres, set far away from the busy highways, with Cable TV/Satellite and Internet/WiFi available. Other amenities include two heated pools and a hot tub, a dog park with agility equipment and watering stations, golf cart rentals, horseshoes, shuffleboard, recreation hall, restrooms, camp store and dump station.

There are many planned activities, or you can head into Ft. Myers and Naples for other entertainment. During the summer months, the focus is on helping to create a memorable camping experience for families, from swimming to campfire stories and s’mores, there’ll be a great time for everyone!

Seminole Campground is a delightful park with plenty of native oaks, cypress and pines, with the Popash Creek meandering through the park, creating beautiful campsite settings. Sites are large enough to accommodate double slideouts and have 30/50 amp service and free WiFi; some are pull-thru and others are back-in. Choose from the separate adults only or family sections. There’s a bathhouse with tiled restrooms and hot showers, laundry facilities, a large recreation hall, game room, exercise room, general store with an onsite Post Office, and a dog park. There are also nature trails and dog walk areas, along with plenty of local attractions and events.

South Bay RV Park is part of Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation. It offers 72 paved RV sites, each with grill, picnic table, and full hook-ups (30/50 amp. available), and there is WiFi available throughout the campground. There are hiking trails and bicycle paths, a boat launching area with access to Lake Okeechobee (with boat/trailer and auto parking), canoeing/kayaking access and freshwater fishing.

Club Naples RV Resort

Club Naples RV Resort, a Sun RV Resorts location, sits in the midst of beautiful Florida nature preserves, making it a quiet location perfect for camping.
