Finding LGBT event venues can be challenging. In addition to locating a venue with all the right amenities, you also need to find one that is LGBT-friendly. Fortunately, the Bilmar Beach Resort could be what you’re looking for.

About the Bilmar Beach Resort

In 1961, The Bilmar Beach Resort opened to the public. At the time, it had 59 rooms, a restaurant, and a beach-front cafe. But the resort soon expanded. In 1971, the owner finished construction on an eight-story tower. The new addition gave the resort 60 more rooms, a large ballroom, and apartments.

Today, the resort boasts 8,000 square feet of event space. Due to its large space and beautiful beach-front views, the resort is a great place for LGBT events. There’s a long list of resort amenities. Group guests can enjoy free parking, a transportation service to the airport, and easy access to the Suncoast Beach Trolley.

The Event Space and Meeting Rooms

If you’re on the lookout for an LGBT group event space, you need more than beach views and accessibility. You need functionality and more.

The function space at the Bilmar was recently renovated. During the event, you get a catering manager who is dedicated to you and you alone. You also get a banquet manager for the duration of your event. With a chef trained at the Culinary Institute of America, the kitchen serves up delicious dishes.

You can use the executive penthouse floor for more memorable breakouts. Additionally, you can take your pick of hospitality rooms. Throughout the property, there are multiple networking areas.

Beach Weddings

What could be more romantic than saying your “I Do’s” on the beach at sunset?

A beach wedding makes that special day all the more memorable. The Bilmar Beach Resort handles every detail including a sunset ceremony on the sand, followed by an indoor or outdoor reception overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Professional catering by a dedicated staff ensure a perfect event. The Bilmar has plenty of guest rooms for out-of-town attendees, two restaurants on site for the rehearsal dinner, as well as penthouse honeymoon suites.

Finding an Affordable Venue

While the amenities and ambiance both matter when it comes to choosing a venue, your budget also matters. The Bilmar Beach Resort understands the importance of sticking to your budget. They have inclusive pricing options and all of their pricing is transparent.

The group packages at the Bilmar make it easier for you to meet your budget. Instead of charging one high amenity fee, the resort has customized fees intended to meet your group’s needs. With the group package, you get a complimentary registration table with linens and four chairs. You also get a podium, microphone, and drop-down screen.

Meeting planners who use the Bilmar receive some extra incentives. If you book a social event or meeting that has a minimum value of $2,500, the Bilmar gives you a pre-paid visa card as a cash reward. It’s yours to use as you please and is 2% of the total cost of your event. If you’re not a meeting planner, you can participate in a different rewards program. You get 1.5% cash back or 3% credit for referring other groups to the venue.

Booking LGBT Event Venues

One of the most important details to consider when booking an LGBT event venue is whether or not the venue is LGBT-friendly. At the Bilmar Beach Resort, you don’t need to be concerned about discrimination. The resort is located in Treasure Island, which is one of the most LGBT-friendly destinations in the state of Florida. The Bilmar is no stranger to LGBT couples and events.
