The city of Orlando has completed a rainbow crosswalk between Orange Avenue and West Ester Street as a memorial to the victims and survivors of the Pulse nightclub shooting, reports Melodi Smith for Click Orlando.

The idea for the crosswalk began as a petition on Change.org, where it was signed by over 2,000 people. The OnePULSE Foundation is also looking into building a permanent memorial in Orlando, and recently had a permit request approved by the Orlando City Council to install a new fence and benches as the site of the nightclub.
