Looking for a place to enjoy casual drinks or party your cares away? Check out this curated list of the best gay bars in Orlando.

Southern Nights

375 S. Bumby Avenue

Southern Nights is Orlando’s oldest gay bar, welcoming guests and serving drinks for the past 35 years. This bar is known for its crazy parties, so put on your dancing shoes and get ready to lose yourself to the beats of the featured DJs. Happy hour starts at 4 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

Apart from regular All-You-Can-Drink promos, Southern Nights is famous for its daily flamboyant drag shows, RuPaul’s Drag Race viewing parties, and Latinx Lineup nights. Check out Southern Nights’ Facebook page to see what’s scheduled before stopping by.

Southern Craft

2405 E. South Street

Though Southern Craft and Southern Nights are adjacent, they are two completely different bars. Southern Craft is the place to be if you want to enjoy live music and freshly made craft cocktails. The atmosphere here is cozier and more intimate, making it an ideal spot to catch up and have long conversations with old friends.

Southern Craft’s mixologists are very passionate about their creations, so feel free to ask them for a recommendation if you want to drink something new.

Hamburger Mary’s

Church Street Station, 110 W. Church Street

Stepping into Hamburger Mary’s Americana diner-themed interiors feels like a trip back in time. Tuck into the signature hearty brunch dishes, burgers, and cocktails – we highly recommend saving room for the Fried Twinkies and Key Lime Pie.

It’s not just the food that’s fantastic here, either. Hamburger Mary’s regularly holds different LGBTQ events like cabaret dinners, variety shows, and trivia nights. The drag shows are not to be missed, so come here to sing along to show tunes, laugh, and have a rollicking good time!

Savoy Orlando

1913 N. Orange Avenue

A popular spot with the LGBTQ community, the Savoy is a must-visit for its nightly show “The Men of Savoy”. This regular event has shirtless go-go dancers showing off their finest moves to wow the crowd.

Enjoy show tunes on Musical Martini Mondays, or join a poker game on Wednesdays. The Savoy holds different themed events on different days of the week, so check out its site to see which ones suit your vibe during your Orlando trip.

Stardust Lounge

431 E. Central Boulevard

The Stardust Lounge is an underground bar with a retro vibe, best known for its burlesque shows and dirty bingo nights with cool prizes. Apart from having no cover charge, this lounge has plenty of drink specials and friendly bartenders.

Shoot a few games of pool, dance your feet off, and play some Ms. Pacman in its unique game room. If you want to relax, you can just sip your drink while watching the night’s featured movie on the bar’s corner TV.

Barcodes

4453 Edgewater Drive

Known for its friendly staff and easygoing atmosphere, Barcodes is a no-frills bar where you can knock back beers, wine, and hard seltzers with no entrance charge. Chill by the backyard deck, shoot some pool, and check out the store – Barcodes has quite the selection of NSFW products.

Keep an eye out for the scheduled underwear and leather nights when guests should dress up – or should we say down? Fair warning: you won’t be admitted to underwear nights unless you strip down to your skivvies, too.

Hank’s Bar

5026 Edgewater Drive

Hank’s has been open for over three decades and is considered an institution by the LGBTQ community in Orlando, proudly calling itself “The Best Little Bar With The Worst Little Reputation”. The bar has a big outdoor patio and a jukebox, creating a casual atmosphere where people can pick their tunes and mingle with new faces. Feel free to chat the locals up, as visitors have often praised the friendliness of the regulars here.

Thursdays are a great day to drop by because that’s when Hank’s pool tournaments are held. Happy Hour is extended on Thursdays too, so, as the bar says: come thirsty, leave happy!

Bösendorfer Lounge

325 S. Orange Avenue

For a more upscale and relaxed location, go to the Bösendorfer Lounge. Located on the first floor of the Grand Bohemian Hotel, it’s a quiet place where you can sip on a handcrafted cocktail while listening to live piano music. On some evenings, live DJs or jazz singers will entertain customers.

Apart from the above-average wine list and cocktail choices, the food here has earned high praise from visitors. We recommend trying the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake or the Cambozola And Nueske’s Bacon Burger. Come early or reserve a spot, as tables fill up quickly.

District Dive

2401 E. South Street

Open seven days a week, District Dive is a lively spot with a neighborhood air. Other visitors have praised the welcoming staff and the warmth of the regulars. Chat with some new faces or try your hand at one of the games offered here. The bar has billiards, shuffleboard, and darts – perfect for a little friendly competition.

Each day has a different themed event, such as Bad Ass Bingo Wednesdays and Sunday Funday. Browse District Dive’s Facebook page to find out what’s happening during your visit.

Parliament House

29 S. Orange Avenue

We saved one of the most well-known and best for last because Parliament House is in the middle of a Renaissance of sorts. This gay club and resort is one of Orlando’s most famous gay hotspots because of its incredible drag shows and 24-hour dance floors.

Parliament House is moving to its new address, and the management is currently in the middle of recreating the dazzling atmosphere the original bar was known for. Keep your eyes peeled for grand opening details on Parliament House’s social media pages.
