With all of the Giving Tuesday requests coming in this season, your inbox is probably overflowing with donation solicitations. Although we all want to give as much as we can to support worthy causes, as usual during the holidays, budgets are tight and funds limited. Deciding which organization to support might the biggest challenge of your week.

To help, we’ve compiled a list of LGBTQ organizations throughout Florida that we recommend supporting this Giving Tuesday. These organization work hard to make sure that our community and rights are supported and protected.

This Giving Tuesday, consider supporting LGBTQ initiatives and organizations.

Statewide Florida Organizations to Support

Equality Florida

Equality Florida consists of two organizations – Equality Florida Institute, Inc., a 501(c)(3) educational charity and Equality Florida Action, Inc., a 501(c)(4) advocacy organization. Together, these organizations form the largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community. Through education, grassroots organizing, coalition building, and lobbying, we are changing Florida so that no one suffers harassment or discrimination on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Florida Gulf Coast LGBTQ Organizations to Support

Metro Inclusive Health

Established in 1993, Metro Wellness & Community Centers is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to providing quality health and wellness services that are inclusive, relevant, supportive and represent the lifetime continuum of the diverse people in our community.


EPIC, a member of Empath Health, is honored to serve everyone in the Tampa Bay area in need of HIV services and support. Every year, the organization helps to meet the growing needs of the many adults, children and families infected or affected by HIV/AIDS, provide free testing and deliver prevention and education programs.

As a community nonprofit, they are supported by the Suncoast Hospice Foundation, which helps raise funds for the care services of Empath Health member organizations. Through the community’s generous giving to the foundation, they are able to continue their mission.

EPIC also hosts the Tampa Bay AIDS Walk & 5k run, inspiring thousands of people to walk and even more to donate, raising over $1 million to combat HIV and AIDS.

SWFL LGBT Community Fund

The LGBT Community Fund of Southwest Florida is referred to as a “multi-donor fund,” which is a giving circle that engages like-minded individuals and organizations to increase philanthropic support in Southwest Florida for the unique challenges and opportunities facing Southwest Florida’s LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community.


TIGLFF is a 501(c)3 organization that showcases a selection of compelling film and video by, for or about the LGBTQ+ community that Entertains, Empowers and Enlightens the festival audience.

St Pete Pride

The purpose of St Pete Pride is to promote unity, visibility, self-esteem and a positive image of and among the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community of Tampa Bay and throughout the State of Florida by way of cultural and educational programs and activities. This organization also hosts the largest Pride celebration in Florida.

Come Out St Pete

Come Out St. Pete’s mission is to inspire the LGBTQ+ community to live genuinely, raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues and encourage public support from LGBTQ+ allies. Equality is at the forefront of all COSP initiatives and events, specifically in regard to sexual orientation and gender identity.

Naples Pride

Naples Pride, established in 2017, is a volunteer-driven nonprofit in Southwest Florida focusing on LGBTQ+ rights and support. The organization, known for its annual Pride festival that draws thousands, operates The Center, a space offering resources, healthcare, and educational programs for the LGBTQ+ community. Key initiatives include a health clinic providing free services, emergency funding, counseling, and collaborative efforts for LGBTQ+ youth, emphasizing education, social change, and community empowerment.

Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber

For over 35 years, the Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber has been committed to advancing equality for LGBT and allied businesses, fostering economic growth and offering networking and educational resources in the Tampa Bay area. In 2020, it rebranded and expanded its reach to include Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Manatee, Sarasota, Polk, and Hernando counties.


Visuality, established in Fort Myers, Florida, is a nonprofit organization co-founded by Arlene Goldberg and Carrie Keohane to support the LGBTQ community. Initially focused on LGBTQ youth, it has expanded to provide services for all ages, including educational events, social gatherings, and advocacy.

Central Florida LGBTQ Organizations to Support

26 Health

In Orlando, 26Health provides a wide range of physical and mental health services for the LGBTQ community, including counseling, HIV and STI testing, and transgender health services like hormone replacement therapy.

The Center

Also in Orlando, The Center offers education, health services, and counseling, evolving over the years to support mental health and HIV/AIDS healthcare. It became a crucial support hub following the Pulse Nightclub tragedy.

Hope and Help Center

This Orlando-based center specializes in health services, HIV/AIDS testing, and treatment. It offers a range of services including mental health counseling, support groups, and telehealth consultations.

The Pride Chamber (formerly MBA Orlando)

As Central Florida’s LGBT Chamber of Commerce, it fosters connections between LGBT-owned businesses, consumers, and allies, hosting events and promoting LGBTQ business recognition.

Pride Community Center of North Central Florida

Located in Gainesville, it provides a safe space for the LGBTQ community, offering support services and hosting the annual Gainesville Pride Festival.


QLatinx emerged in the aftermath of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, uniting the community to address inequity and foster inclusion. This organization, honoring the 49 lives lost, many of whom were young and from diverse Latinx backgrounds, focuses on building support structures and advocating for inclusive practices in leadership and partnerships.

Zebra Coalition

Operating in Orlando and Kissimmee, this coalition provides extensive services to LGBTQ youth, including housing, support services, and educational programs to promote equality in schools and businesses.

Florida Keys LGBTQ Organizations to Support

AH of Monroe

In Key West, AH of Monroe stands as the primary HIV/AIDS organization in the Florida Keys, serving the community for 34 years. It offers an array of services for those living with HIV, including case management, health education, and housing assistance. Beyond healthcare, AH of Monroe also provides affordable housing for people living with HIV, the elderly, and those with disabilities.

Key West Business Guild

The Key West Business Guild, also in Key West, has been instrumental in promoting LGBTQ-friendly tourism and business for over 40 years. This organization has played a key role in establishing Key West as a top LGBTQ destination, organizing major events like Key West Pride and Womanfest. Supported by the Florida Keys Tourism Development Council, the guild continues to enhance the city’s reputation as an inclusive and vibrant community.

Northeast Florida LGBTQ Organizations to Support

Hope Across the Globe

Hope Across the Globe is a medical nonprofit in Jacksonville dedicated to HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and STI diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention. It offers free testing and medical care, focusing on holistic wellness and social services for people living with HIV (PLHIV). The organization also leads awareness campaigns in Jacksonville and supports rural clinics in Panama and Peru with medication, supplies, and educational resources.


Based in Jacksonville, JASMYN supports LGBTQ+ youth by providing health and wellness services, safe spaces, and developmental opportunities. Their services include free rapid HIV testing, PrEP, sexual health counseling, treatment and referrals, and support groups for HIV-positive youth and LGBTQ+ individuals seeking mental health counseling. JASMYN also offers educational groups and resources for teens under 18.

Florida Panhandle LGBTQ Organizations to Support

The Center: Gulf Coast LGBTQ+ Center

As the only dedicated all-inclusive LGBTQ+ youth program in the Panhandle, the LGBTQ Center of Bay County focuses on collaboration, celebration, education, and wellness. It offers various programs such as Youth Peer Support Group, YA Connect, FACT for friends and family of LGBTQ+ individuals, a Trans* Support Group, OWLS for older lesbians, and Positive Connections for PLHIV. The center also organizes Bay Pride, Panama City Beach’s annual pride parade.


Bay-Pride, a non-profit organization based in Panama City, Florida, focuses on supporting the LGBTQ+ community through advocacy, education, and annual celebrations like the Bay-Pride Panama City event. The organization’s mission encompasses providing support to LGBTQIA+ youth facing hardships, promoting educational initiatives for greater LGBTQ+ awareness, and actively participating in efforts against sexual violence. Bay-Pride’s diverse range of programs and events highlights its commitment to the welfare and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community in the region.

Sunday’s Child

Sunday’s Child, based in Pensacola, aims to create lasting change for LGBTQ+ individuals through grants ranging from $25,000 to $50,000 to nonprofits. Since 2013, it has awarded over $536,250 in grants, focusing on areas like animals, environment, recreation, health and wellness, arts, culture, education, and community development.

South Florida LGBTQ Organizations to Support

The Alliance for GLBTQ Youth

Founded in 2006, the Alliance for GLBTQ Youth was developed in response to concerns about the high risks of suicide, substance abuse, and harassment among Miami’s GLBTQ youth. The organization offers a range of services, including counseling, youth enrichment activities, leadership development seminars, and assistance for homeless youth.

Aqua Foundation for Women

Aqua Foundation focuses on education, offering scholarships and leadership training programs to LGBTQ+ individuals pursuing various degrees. The foundation’s programs include the Aqua Scholarship Program, Aqua Cares for wellness and outreach, and Transcon, an annual conference for trans and non-binary individuals.

Compass Community Center

Compass Community Center, with over 30 years of service, is recognized as one of the largest and most respected LGBT community centers in the U.S. It provides mental health services, HIV testing and case management, and various social and support groups. The center also organizes significant events like Palm Beach Pride and the Stonewall Ball.

Latinos Salud

Latinos Salud aims to provide culturally competent health education and screenings to queer Latinos in Southern Florida. The organization focuses on preventing communicable diseases like STIs and HIV/AIDS and improving health outcomes for diagnosed individuals, employing bilingual staff from diverse Latin American countries.

Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC)

MDGLCC, a large nonprofit corporation, focuses on promoting LGBTQ-owned businesses in Miami-Dade County. It provides networking opportunities, enhances business visibility, and promotes Miami as a gay-friendly tourist destination.

Palm Beach County Human Rights Council (PBCHRC)

PBCHRC emphasizes the social and emotional well-being of Florida’s LGBTQ community, offering youth groups, scholarships, and services like Project S.A.F.E. and Positive Connections Support Groups. The council also provides free HIV and STI testing and peer counseling programs.

Poverello Center

Founded in 1987, Poverello Center provides nutritious food to individuals living with chronic conditions like HIV/AIDS, kidney, heart problems, and cancer. The center was established to address the nutritional needs of people affected by the AIDS crisis in the 80s.

Safe Schools South Florida

Safe Schools South Florida is the only organization in South Florida composed of educational professionals dedicated to creating safer learning environments for LGBTQ+ students. They offer training programs, youth empowerment initiatives, scholarships, and a SpeakOUT Bureau to support LGBTQ+ students, allies, and parents.

SAVE Foundation

Established in 1993, SAVE Foundation is South Florida’s longest-running foundation fighting LGBTQ+ discrimination. The organization addresses issues like conversion therapy and anti-LGBTQ+ bills through political advocacy, outreach programs, and candidate endorsements.

South Florida Afro Pride Federation

Focused on the solidarity, empowerment, and wellness of LGBTQ+ POC in South Florida, particularly in Broward County, the Federation offers mental health services, HIV/STI prevention, and organizes the Afro Pride annual parade and music festival.

Stonewall National Museum & Archives

Founded in 1972, the Stonewall National Museum & Archives is one of the largest archives of queer literature in the United States. The museum hosts live and virtual exhibitions, author presentations, and panel discussions, with tours of the archive available to researchers.

YES Institute

YES Institute, established in 1996, addresses high suicide rates among LGBTQ+ teens through dialogue and education on gender and orientation. The institute offers groundbreaking educational courses on various topics including unconscious biases, bullying, and creating inclusive workplaces.
