Following Trump’s decision to ban transgender individuals from serving in the military, transgender veteran Kristin Beck is firing back, reports Chris Walker for Revere Press.

As a member of SEAL Team 6, Beck was instrumental to locating Osama Bin Laden, although she left the team before the actual raid that lead to his death took place. She had seven combat deployments and earned the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

“Being transgender doesn’t affect anyone else,” she said during an interview with Business Insider. She added, “Let’s meet face to face and you tell me I’m not worthy.”

Beck also spoke out against the idea that transgender troops would cause disorder in the military, stating that “a very professional unit with great leadership wouldn’t have a problem.”

Beck also contradicted Trump’s suggestion that paying for gender-affirming medical treatments such as hormone therapy would be too costly for the military: “You’re talking about .000001% of the military budget.”

Kristin Beck is currently a military consultant in Tampa, Florida.
